@d_j_fitzgerald Sorry for the repost, I still haven't figured out how to enable editing my post on my server lol. I said varta instead of RIFA. My head sometimes confuses explosive devices.

@d_j_fitzgerald Mac 128s very very rarely require recaps. Generally, just snip the RIFA (or replace), swap the PRAM battery, and it's good to go for years.

@orion3311 Indeed. Picked up an almost complete set of Ryder's TV/Radio manuals and Sam's Photofacts from 1918 -> 1965. Passed them on to a good home who will eventually scan / preserve them.

What day is it? That's right! Recap day!

Tandy 1400LT Power Supply is going to get every cap replaced.

@TechConnectify Thanks for the context. That makes sense. I've never used a gas stove, so never really thought about it honestly. I've heard they're in the news lately but tend to avoid the news outside the retro tech space lol.

@TechConnectify Am I misunderstanding this? You're measuring carbon dioxide levels (not carbon monoxide levels)?

I didn't think higher concentrations of CO2 were dangerous, as long as atmospheric oxygen was greater than 19%

Carbon Monoxide is the silent killer, but High CO2 isn't generally risky unless the O2 levels are being depleted in kind.

I could be wrong, all my knowledge on the subject is from prior confined space work.

@kalleboo That is not a normal microwave sound, correct.

Electrons are going where they should not, in a highly unusual manner.

@NanoRaptor somewhere between a thousand and ten thousand. I'm afraid to actually count.

@roygreenhilt In the tech space, I tend to watch Linus' tech news channel TechLinked, and listen to Gamer's Nexus weekly news, and Level1 Techs podcast.

I avoid politics 100%, and generally receive other news through memes or people talking/posting at work or online, so can't help in those aspects.

An interesting experiment, how drivers on the road react differently to a pedestrian and a pedestrian with a brick.

It may be interesting for those who write use cases for #autonomous cars :)

@TrechNex@masto.ai That video was amazing. Thanks for sharing :)

@pinjontall I have one of these! I got armbian running on it and then put it on the shelf lol.

If I could code, then maybe I would join, but I'm not that good lol.

The answer to the question... Vote before reading.

@littletranspunk I'm aware. It was mentioned in the thread. Maybe the federation fun left that part of the thread out ;)

It's itching me to buy this, just to see if it will respond with an http code 418 as is should!
