@billgoats I just do premium. YT is my primary form of entertainment these days, and not only does Premium remove all ads, but it gives a higher payment to each creator I watch, which I like.
Yeah, youtube is keeping a percentage, but my creators get paid more. I like that. No ads is a big bonus.
@indigoparadox I have seen several references to Lowtax though lol. Feels like SA forums circa 2012.
@bhockle @jonn_blanchard When you go to toot, or reply, there is a CW button in the text box. This allows you to mark your post behind a content warning. This is a kindness for any post that might be considered drama, triggering, or otherwise sensitive.
When adding an image, you can see there's a "No Description Added" marker. If you click on that, youc an add alt-text to the image, so people using screen readers can hear the content of the image.
@emily I have a stack of them from 1995 to 2001 in my collection. They're fun to look through from time to time, and help for period-pricing research!
Several of them are available on the Internet Archive, so anyone can have some fun!
@kiwa Oh no! I hate thieves. Hopefully they didn't get anything good :(
@tubetime Excellent work, good sir. Absolutely beautiful!
i'm pleased to announce that my replica Datanetics ASCII keyboard design is now published! check the link for the design files and build instructions.
@djwfyi Don't forget to make a pinned post with more details about yourself, or something super relevant to your interests. Your pinned post is pulled cross-server, so everyone can see it if visiting you for the first time.
After a few revisions, we have a winner! Needs some sanding and cleaning, but is fully functional. Just need #Polymaker to help matching color.

As a clarification, if your profile is empty, you have no toots, no description, and no profile pic, I'll also be passing for now. If you're just joining, feel free to interact once you get established and I'll probably follow back :D
@Jake_Vig This is actually in the rules for my instance, and is usually rule #3 for every online space I host.
@adam I use a combination of zip drives, and for floppies, flux imaging. For Mac stuff, I use Basilisk emulator on my main rig to play "translation layer" between PC and Mac filesystems. I haven't run into a machine yet that I can't get software onto/off of :D
@jason rottentomatoes.com is one.
@javmaster It'll get there, and I'm glad to see folks doing this kind of work. Keep it up!
@javmaster Just a *little* adjustment on the latch for next time ;)
@scott_bot Reminds me of that Japanese fella who married a holographic representation of their favorite anime character (or something like that) - eventually the company that programmed it dropped support or went out of business. They literally deactivated his wife. He was very sad.
Controlling your own hardware and software are very important things.
@nixCraft Anywhere you damn well please lol.
I have so much software installed in /home/YesterGearPC/Downloads/github-stuff/ that your head would spin.
@StarkRG Considered it. But when I played Doom, I always used my right hand for strafing/firing, so the muscle memory is there. Could definitely add one in both positions on the "finished product", which I'm spitballing on a scrap piece of paper lol.
