DO NOT BUY HP PRINTERS!

I don't believe I've ever seen a more #dastardly #plan from a #hardware #manufacturer.

If you buy an #HP #printer and sign up for the optional HP Plus #service, you'll get a #firmware #update that will FORCE you to #purchase *only* new HP #ink cartridges — for the life of your printer. And once that firmware update happens, there is *no way* to undo it.

DO NOT BUY HP PRINTERS!

HP has found an exciting new way to #DRM your printer

I disagree. You should buy HP printers.

Specifically Laserjets from the 90s. They will outlive your grandchildren and still have parts and toner available for peanuts.

HP since 2002 or so has become evil incarnate though, so avoid anything newer than the LaserJet 6 era or so.

When I worked in an office, life got soooo much easier when we replaced our HP LaserJet with a Brother. That HP was so unreliable on the network.

@ulidig @IAmDannyBoling Modern Brother Lasers are excellent in my opinion. No bullshit, just work.
