Export, create new account, import, then delete the old one.

@yestergearpc The thing I don't quite get is communication BETWEEN servers. I guess it seems like I can talk to you despite not being on your server, so it shouldn't matter? Seems simultaneously like an insignificant but also a very significant part of the platform, and that's what's confusing. @WysiWyg_Protogen basically, anyone you follow's data is pulled by your server from their server.
The only real difficulty is finding people to follow if your current follows don't "promote" (retoot) stuff from people you might be interested in.
I recommend hitting https://fedifinder.glitch.me/ and exporting your Twitter following that have posted mastodon addresses, which you can then import.
